Tanner Urich

The Beavers played a great game Saturday Nov. 5 in Dubuque against Luther College. It came down to some last-second free throws for the Beavers to win 69-68. The score was back and forth in the beginning with each team having long runs of points. Senior Aubrey Hauswirth finished with 21 points and four assists. Junior Jocelyn Kock got a career-best of 14 points and 12 rebounds.

“Loras was a great win. It was a little stressful down the stretch, but we executed when we had to. I had a lot of confidence in the team and believed we could get the victory,” head coach Janet Berry said.

The team played last night at Siebens Fieldhouse and hosted Central College and the Beavers dominated the Storm 99-60.  Senior Margo Muhlbauer scored 26 points and had seven rebounds.  Following, Hauswirth had 17 points and six rebounds.  Senior Melissa Sporrer and first-year Laura Hilby each had 11 points to help with the win.  The Beavers play again Dec 19 and 20 in Pasadena, California at the Cal Tech Tournament.  This is the teams fourth consecutive win and is now 6-2 (2-0 IIAC).
