Dead animals are invading the lockers of students at a Bay Area high school. In particular, one 20-year-old student was the victim of these zombie animals. Okay, so not really. But, this 20-year-old high school student was arrested by police for stealing dead animals from a pet hospital morgue and stuffing them in lockers. (0) comments

A couple weeks ago, I was reading an article from the Northwestern Health Sciences University that stated facts about body image. Some of the most astounding facts that persuaded me to write this article was, one out of four college-aged women has an eating disorder and in a national survey, women feared being fat more than dying. Most people coming to Buena Vista University (BVU) learn the university is Presbyterian affiliated. However, this does not mean you have to be a Presbyterian to go to school here. In fact, very few of the students on BVU campus are Presbyterian. The majority of students are from various Christian groups such as Catholics, Lutherans, etc. (0) comments

A cut-throat election should lead to a cut-throat debate, right? Maybe and maybe not depending on who your candidates are and what they stand for. Nuts

Win or lose, we still booze

Homecoming week. A week to show school spirit and pride. Time to welcome alumni and show them how Buena Vista University (BVU) is still a reputable university. A time to celebrate BVU's history and magic. A time to drink as many beers as you can within a 5 minute period? Does our generation really care about what Homecoming is meant to represent or do we merely use it as an excuse to drink ourselves into oblivion? In my experience the BVU homecoming ritual has been to start drinking Friday night and not stop until early Sunday morning. (5) comments
