Academic Affairs (AA) has passed a proposal to dissolve the Designated Writing Course (DWC) Program effective Dec. 2008 during their meeting held on Wednesday. "We are recommending the plan for faculty development to continue encouraging writing within the majors and stressing writing within all the classes, but not necessarily the paper work dealing with the DWC," Mary Mello-Nee, chair of academic affairs, said. These visits are revised versions of the typical fall visit days current students may remember from their past experiences.
