Michaels finds a new rose

No more “Party in the USA” for Miley Cyrus fans (thank you very much!). Cyrus is hitting the studio to do her take on Poison’s famous and most popular song released in 1988, “Every Rose has its Thorn.”

Cyrus is ready to change her music from her once extremely popular teen-pop music to a more 1980’s rock-and-roll vibe. She and lead man of Poison, Bret Michaels, will be working together to make this remake possible. Michaels will be playing the guitar and possibly doing some harmonies, while Cyrus does the rest.

What does Michaels have to say about this? According to mtv.com, Michaels believes Cyrus is one of only a few musicians who can play and sing.

What does he think about Cyrus redoing
“Every Rose has its Thorn?” Michaels thinks she can give the song her own “flare” and make it her own. Not only is the pair working on “Every Rose has its Thorn.” The two also are working on a song called “Nothing to Lose.”  The song has leaked on the internet, and after hearing it I am truly disgusted.

Michaels is 46 years old and is collaborating with 17-year-old Cyrus. The song “Nothing to Lose” is a romantic song about falling in love. The song also includes some reference to sexy time. Does something sound a little creepy to anyone else?

The lyrics state, “We both know better than this, still we can’t resist, slowly get undressed.”  Come on, really! The 30 some years of age difference between the two has raised lots of eyebrows throughout the music industry. And it raises these eyebrows as well.
I am not trying to say that Michaels is a pervert, although his Rock of Love series on VH1 would say otherwise. The combination of the two does not make any sense to me.  Cyrus is not the best role model out there for children, especially since her naked photographs in Vanity Fair. And, well, this song is not helping out her case anymore.

According to an interview with US Magazine, Michaels says this entire situation has been blown out of proportion. Michaels continues to state that while making his new album, Cyrus said she liked the song and would love to add harmonies to it, and that is how she got into the song.

My point is that there are so many other mature and more talented female artists out there who could have made this song one hundred times better.  Why in the world was Cyrus chosen for this song? I could not even begin to understand.

Michaels is an amazing artist who will stand the time of history. Cyrus, on the other hand has a lot of maturing and work to do before she can sing with the big female artists such as Beyonce, Pat Benatar, and Cindy Lauper.

He should have known better than to perform with the teenybopper Cyrus.
