"Throwback" party hosted in the Underground

The Wellness Team has a great time hosting all sorts of themed parties and events in the Underground.

These Underground events help encourage campus interaction, and also provide free and enjoyable entertainment for all students at BVU.

Last Saturday, the Underground hosted a “Shameless Snuggie Party” that encouraged everyone to be brave enough and admit they have a Snuggie, and to come together to wear their beloved Snuggie without feeling judged. The event was success, and people who attended had a great time.

This Saturday, Mar. 13, the Underground is at it again with a brand new type of event. Wellness will be sponsoring the first-ever “Throwback Party” in the Underground from 9 p.m. to midnight.

Since this is the first time this event has been held, it will be interesting to see what they bring to the table. From the sounds of it, this is going to be a great success.

The Wellness team has put a lot of work and creativity into this Throwback Party, and is strongly encouraging everyone to stop by, check it out, and have a great time.

The Throwback Party is a great excuse to dig out those old high school or old-school professional sports teams’ jerseys and uniforms and to show them off for the night.

Or, if sports are not your thing, you can come dressed up in your favorite 1980’s or 1990’s attire. Dressing for the event is not required to gain attendance, but strongly encouraged for those who attend.

There will be costume judging on the attendees’ attire. Prizes will be awarded to the best male and female “throwback” outfit. You must be present at the time of the judging in order to win the prize.

There will be activities taking place throughout the night. Old school video games will be set up throughout the Underground and will be shown on projector screens so everyone can see and have a great time.

Moving In Stereo (MIS) will be providing 80’s and 90’s music for the event and snacks and drinks will be served all night.

The night is sure to be full of fun and good times, so dig out those old Michael Jordan uniforms and knee high socks, or put on those old jelly shoes and rock the side ponytail, and come join the fun.

Again, this event is being hosted by Wellness in the Underground on Saturday Mar. 13, from 9:00 p.m. to midnight. See you there!
